ADIB launches takaful cash cover service

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank has launched a cash cover takaful scheme offering customers cover against financial loss and emergency medical expenses as a result of theft, assault or robbery.
The bank will provide coverage for up to AED100,000 that a customer may lose due to an incident after withdrawing money within 100 meters of any of the ATMs or branch in the UAE.
The scheme also covers all fraudulent transactions made on stolen Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank ATM cards with the condition that the customer notifies the bank within six hours of the incident.
The service will be free until the end of August, then AED15 per month thereafter.
Dhafer Luqman, ADIB head of strategy, product management and international retail, said: “This is another example of our customer focus as we bring innovative services to the UAE.
“It is a huge commitment we are making towards safety and security and for our customer’s peace of mind.”
